Dear friends and readers,
After having endured a harsh winter in the EU, while on the other side of the equator the summer was making history and the planet was turning upside down with the horrific deeds of You-Know-Who, it is time to welcome spring in Spain and autumn in Brazil, which herald this month (hopefully!) a new season of colours and scents.
It is true that the Ministry of Magic categorically forbids us from performing spells outside of Hogwarts, but in times like the ones we are living in right now, it becomes necessary to summon all of our own and join wands so that the muggles do not advance any further.
That is why I am writing to you through this secure channel (without relying on algorithms) to invite you to our first gathering of 2026, where we will be celebrating Multispecies Family Day, instead of the traditional Father's Day, with the talk “New parenthoods: The unconditional love that forms a multispecies family” and the presentation of my book “Raji, Mi Familia”.
Imagine You-Know-Who’s face when they find out that we will be at the Pedro Salinas Public Library (Madrid, Puerta de Toledo metro exit, Line 5, green) on the 19th of March at 19:00, teaching everyone that animals, LGBTQI+ people, women, immigrants, racialised people and the working class have the right to be recognised as family.
As you can see, this is no easy task and that is why we need you there on this day… to join forces.
